This is awesome! Not about libraries and librarians per se, but – still good advice on how to start speaking at conferences. This is pretty much exactly what I did (well, except the part about schmoozing with other speakers – I don’t schmooze very well). Basically, you have to 1. start, and 2. get over the fear factor of public speaking.
