Seriously tho, I’m glad you asked those questions. Can one person do this? No. I see this as a first step. I think ALL positions should be posted from here on out with these kinds of duties/responsibilities. This is just a first.

This position is a “starting point”. I actually crafted the position posting and in doing so had some conversations with our other public services librarians. They ALL recognize the need for this position to get us “jump started” in this direction. They’re all excited about where we’re doing with this so I’m excited too!

Our librarians were just given wireless tablet pc’s and docking stations. They’re at the point of actually talking about Firefox and the firefox extensions to let them easily blog (as well as other things)

I think you’ll see more positions like this coming out of WSU and other institutions soon!
