I think it was one of those uncomfortable situations where the speaker had bared their soul SO much that it required a big response out of sheer politeness. I thought she was decent for what she was (motivational heart-tugger 'men are pigs' speaker), but not neccessarily the right pick for Internet Librarian. Of course that may be because I'm still trying to get Janis freakin' Ian out of my head... :-) It was not just you. I think it was one of those uncomfortable situations where the speaker had bared their soul SO much that it required a big response out of sheer politeness.

I thought she was decent for what she was (motivational heart-tugger ‘men are pigs’ speaker), but not neccessarily the right pick for Internet Librarian. Of course that may be because I’m still trying to get Janis freakin’ Ian out of my head… :-)
