Irony alert on calling out to fighter pilots in a meeting of librarians.

How we plan to get active books checked in and back on shelf in 20 minutes, and we plan to REALLY do these things:

The materials handling system will check the book back in as it is returned in the vestibule of the library, where it will be taken down a conveyor to the materials handling room. There, items will be sorted and placed on carts according to destination. Very active items will be on carts which will be taken up every 15 minutes by a page to the "Main Street" new book area, where the library staff on duty will put them back on shelf.
