by davidleeking on May 9, 2007

So far, here’s my list of twittering libraries (for those of you thoroughly confused by that, check out twitter):

Any others? Let me know, and I’ll add you to the list!

2nd update: added the Kista bibliotek.

Update: Added Cleveland Public Library’s twitter feed, Ada Community Library, and U of I.

Great job getting this list going! I just did a Twitter page on Libsuccess (under the “Collaborative Tools in Libraries” header) and added these to it…

Kista bibliotek (part of Stockholm Public Library) just started twittering as well. Planning to hand out flyers tomorrow – “Do you Twitter? Kista bibliotek does!” – at a music festival (www.hoodsfred.se) taking place outside the library. Will be interesting to see how many will start following us on Twitter.

We’re using Twitter to update the “currently being asked” section of our internal AskUsNow! staff website. The twitter is public @ twitter.com/askusnow

Cool, Julie – I’m going to blog this – it’s a great idea!

Not really a tittering library in the true sense, but my Twitter feed is automatically updated every few minutes with the most commonly used keyword(s) from recent searches on our OPAC.

Here’s a post about library literacy programs in CA that use Twitter, Facebook and Myspace.
