Presumably the 2.0 Librarian is retaining all of the skills that the 1.0 Librarian possessed, yes? Because this list doesn't include -evaluating electronic information sources, assisting customers with all of the above, etc.

Also, I think that one of the contentious points of this discussion has been the misunderstanding that you alluded to at the end of this post — not every librarian is a 2.0 Librarian. For my own enlightenment, could you tell me more about who the 2.0 librarian is? (because I think I am one, and I'm not sure what that means!)

I second the nomination of understanding persistent URLs vs. dynamic.

And I’m glad you added basic HTML. I don’t know about you, but I’d be happy if some of the librarians I know would just know how to add a simple link.

One thing that struck me as I was reading your list was that there was no explicit mention of competnecies related to research tools in web 2.0.

So I would suggest adding:
- ability to understand the difference between a dynamic URL and an permanent URL
- knowledge of OpenURL
- basic understanding of social bookmarking and citation management tools
- awareness of the invisible web
