We actually used gcast at our school for Spanish students to record themselves speaking Spanish so the teachers could grade them on their pronunciation. Unfortunately, they now charge $99 annually for phone recording, so I was happy to see that you have found other sites that offer this capability!

Just signed up for GCast, and am testing it out right now. The quality actually sounds better than voicemail, especially if you make the call from a quiet place. Will see how it goes. Thanks for this list!

We have been using Gabcast for Project Play here in Wisconsin. It's very easy to use, and we haven't had any problems with the free storage space being too small. The conference call feature isn't that great, as the time allowed for the podcast gets shorter and shorter the more people you add to the call. BUT we have used a free conference call site to gather and then call Gabcast from there and that worked great. I have also used Gabcast to do brief on the fly interviews over my cell phone, which worked fine, but the sound quality wasn't outstanding.
