I really enjoyed your presentation this morning at the MLA conference and I spoke to you after about Joseph Cornell and his use of assemblage (sort of a mash up of actual objects) and how he used boxes to frame his work.  This strikes me as a great example of non-technical mash up and also plays with the &quot;out of the box&quot; theme, because his out of the box thinking actually used boxes.  Here is the obvious link to Wikipedia which includes the Peabody Essex Museum exhibit I mentioned as a resource at the end.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Cornell
