Hi,
Well, that's what I call a blended solution to the problems related to learning. I guess social media networking are really influencing our students to read, think and write. That's a good sign

Yeah, it's been a very interesting collaboration. Sometimes I feel a little remote from the action, but I've gotten indications from the professor and the students that they really like having me watching the twitter stream, sending bits and pieces their way. I also blog with the students and comment on their blog posts, and am available via skype, twitter, email etc. for their project workdays. i've gotten some interesting reference questions from the students via twitter too...

One professor at Baylor (teaching New Media Studies) has been doing this with his class and Twitter this semester. One cool twist on it has been that I've been the "virtual reference librarian" for the class via Twitter during the class periods, sending links, commenting, etc. it's been a rewarding experience!

Ooh, that sounds really cool - I like that it's using the networks the students are already using, not creating some new silo or "academic facebook" - ugh. Will have to watch for updates.
