Thats not THAT amazing, another free development kit for free is for the source engine, but the fact that this is the one you use to have to pay for, not an sdk. that is impressive.

I’m not sure this is a great starting place as you say. The fact that they open-sourced it doesn’t reduce the need for both general and highly specific programming knowledge.
